The project involved a redesign of a 4-color process package to align with the brand’s updated design system. The goal was to create a contemporary and premium look that better reflected the product’s quality and innovation. This included re-shot product photography, new product renderings, refined marketing copy, and updated iconography. Additionally, the inside panel was utilized to promote the Recycling for Refunds catalytic converter recycling program.

The Concept
The redesign process began with rough sketches that gradually evolved into digital mockups using placeholders. These early concepts provided a flexible framework to test layouts and refine the design before moving into production. This step-by-step approach ensured that all elements—from visuals to messaging—were fine-tuned and aligned with the updated branding.
The Graphics
The design featured sleek, modern graphics complemented by enhanced product photography and detailed renderings. Key elements like a dedicated information panel housed essential identifiers such as part numbers, versions, and revisions. These updates ensured clarity and organization, making the packaging more functional and visually appealing. The use of thermal-printed labels for approximately 954 SKUs allowed easy identification across five box sizes, with details like product descriptions, barcodes, and dimensions clearly displayed.
The Package
The completed design achieved a balance of contemporary aesthetics and practical functionality. The integration of premium visuals, organized labeling, and the Recycling for Refunds program messaging elevated the overall user experience. With its ability to adapt seamlessly to various box sizes, the packaging effectively supported the extensive product range while maintaining a cohesive and polished look.
